Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franko Abecia started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Penarol AFC's Ibon Zuazo got a free kick in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Peruxu Villarmerin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cosme Guisla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franko Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Carmen's goalkeeper Ihazintu Lamboy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natanael Mugica. After 23 minutes, Narciso Polla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmen and the Penarol AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Carmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Polla to maneuver through the defense. Servando Tamayo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ihazintu Lamboy. Carmen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Penarol AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Librado Chirinos hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Carmen's goal looked a bit too open when Franko Abecia came free, but Ihazintu Lamboy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Penarol AFC's goalkeeper Cosme Guisla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cosme Guisla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peruxu Villarmerin in the 37th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Penarol AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ritchie Berzosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franko Abecia in the 44th minute of play forced Carmen's goalkeeper Ihazintu Lamboy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vellito Viramontez charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vellito Viramontez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 48 minutes into the match, Penarol AFC's Servando Tamayo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peruxu Villarmerin to make the kick off. Peruxu Villarmerin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Franko Abecia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Guisla made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Mundo Arruta sent off a good shot on target. Cosme Guisla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peruxu Villarmerin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Mundo Arruta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosme Guisla having to make a save. A collision led to Carmen getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Vellito Viramontez hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Servando Tamayo led 73 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Carmen's Ihazintu Lamboy became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. Ihazintu Lamboy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franko Abecia in the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Carmen's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Mugica came free, but Ihazintu Lamboy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ihazintu Lamboy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franko Abecia went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute, Narciso Polla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natanael Mugica in the 87th minute of play forced Carmen's goalkeeper Ihazintu Lamboy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme Guisla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peruxu Villarmerin in the 92nd minute of play. Mundo Arruta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Guisla having to interfere. Carmen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
