Arenal FC's Dolcet Zaldain tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Dorio Borinaga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arenal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riffo AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arenal FC's Dorio Borinaga got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Osoitz Vinuesa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dolcet Zaldain showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xose Nalda during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Raebert Peñacastillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Llope Hornilla struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Llope Hornilla to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Llope Hornilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Llope Hornilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raebert Peñacastillo struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Cristos Echeverria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arenal FC. Llope Hornilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristos Echeverria having to interfere. Frans Arripe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Dolcet Zaldain when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Llope Hornilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arenal FC's Dolcet Zaldain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Arenal FC from getting a goal against them. Dolcet Zaldain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Balensuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osoitz Vinuesa kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Raebert Peñacastillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristos Echeverria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Arenal FC had been in control for most of the match, Riffo AFC still came away with the win.
