An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Maria in the 5th minute of play forced Rocha's goalkeeper Eulalio Azcona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Adalberto Maria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eulalio Azcona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rocha's Jerrald Amoros got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santxo Adurza might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salomone Aldazabal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santxo Adurza ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the match, Mariscala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santxo Adurza came free, but Salomone Aldazabal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Larez charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Larez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Mariscala FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Larez. 22 minutes into the match, Rocha's goal looked a bit too open when Montay Miel came free, but Eulalio Azcona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salomone Aldazabal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santxo Adurza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Azcona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalberto Maria's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Jerrald Amoros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Salomone Aldazabal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Eulalio Azcona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montay Miel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Santxo Adurza came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rocha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santxo Adurza couldn't finish the play. Santxo Adurza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santxo Adurza was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Rocha got a corner. Mariscala FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rayman Ortubia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rayman Ortubia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mariscala FC's Salomone Aldazabal did a great save. Maximo Martioda took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Salomone Aldazabal. Salomone Aldazabal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Eloy Mardones fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rocha's protests and gave Eloy Mardones a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Rocha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Mardones to maneuver through the defense. When Mikolas Maya fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mariscala FC's protests and gave Mikolas Maya a yellow card for diving instead. Salomone Aldazabal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santxo Adurza, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Montay Miel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Montay Miel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, Rocha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikola Burdeos to maneuver through the defense. Mariscala FC's Montay Miel got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Montay Miel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariscala FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Montay Miel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eulalio Azcona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Rocha's Santxo Adurza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salomone Aldazabal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Montay Miel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
