Quin Uquillas charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quin Uquillas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mendizabal getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Quin Uquillas hit a great ball. Stephen Agüero struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Eleder Heredia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendizabal. Gamus Letatu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Eleder Heredia made a huge save. If Gamus Letatu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Stephen Agüero sped through Laura's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eleder Heredia. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephen Agüero to make the kick off. Rigoberto Cean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cisco Basurto having to interfere. Ximenes Bailina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cisco Basurto having to interfere. Mendizabal's Cisco Basurto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Cean in the 61st minute of play. Ximenes Bailina who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Cisco Basurto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Endura Ronquillo's late challenge caught a Laura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Endura Ronquillo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Endura Ronquillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joselito Zuñiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cisco Basurto. Mendizabal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Stephen Agüero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eleder Heredia. Laura's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stephen Agüero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ovidio Izaga kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Mendizabal's Cisco Basurto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Mendizabal from getting a goal against them. Rigoberto Cean was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 88 minutes into the match, Mendizabal's goalkeeper Cisco Basurto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ximenes Bailina. Gamus Letatu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Eleder Heredia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
