After a defensive mix-up in Laura's zone, Humberto Urria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleder Heredia came out of the goal and Humberto Urria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Humberto Urria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleder Heredia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Urria in the 11th minute of play. Pedernal FC's Isidoro Villavicencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Cean in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Cean in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidoro Villavicencio saved Pedernal FC from getting behind. Isidoro Villavicencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Cean, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Cean in the 20th minute of play forced Pedernal FC's goalkeeper Isidoro Villavicencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Paternina in the 26th minute of play forced Laura's goalkeeper Eleder Heredia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Aguirre's late challenge caught a Pedernal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
