TNA's attentive Juango Zamarro managed to snatch the ball when Manex Ganchegui made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. Isidoro Docio came free in the 46th minute and tried to tip the ball over Jusepe Paternina, but to the joy of Algorta's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Lluciano Urbino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jusepe Paternina having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Tobia to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Algorta's goalkeeper Jusepe Paternina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 74 minutes of play, Algorta's Froylan Ondarra made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Balasi Casares was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ovidio Viles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
