The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lico Rigual hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Lopes Avendaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xoan Vellosillo having to interfere. A collision led to Soca getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Marz Perez hit a great ball. A hard shot 9 in the game by Lopes Avendaño from a close distance when the talented Xoan Vellosillo managed to make a qualified save. Soca's players were relieved. Lopes Avendaño who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Xoan Vellosillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lopes Avendaño might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xoan Vellosillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lopes Avendaño ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Soca's Marz Perez got a free kick in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lopes Avendaño kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xoan Vellosillo. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. After 22nd play minutes Lopes Avendaño shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Xoan Vellosillo and just under the crossbar into goal. Rocendo Fornell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Xoan Vellosillo made a huge save. The supporters of Echevarria booed when Soca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oihenarte Rado didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 35 in the game by Lopes Avendaño from a close distance when the talented Xoan Vellosillo managed to make a qualified save. Soca's players were relieved. Lopes Avendaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marz Perez's late challenge caught a Echevarria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marz Perez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Soca's Marz Perez got a free kick in the 39th minute. Lopes Avendaño was extremely unlucky when he, in the 44th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Soca's Xoan Vellosillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Soca from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ubelteso Morais was the one to do the kick off. Esquipula Betolaza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubelteso Morais in the 53rd minute of play. Lopes Avendaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 74th play minutes Lopes Avendaño shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Xoan Vellosillo and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Lopes Avendaño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xoan Vellosillo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. If Lopes Avendaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Soca's zone, Rocendo Fornell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xoan Vellosillo came out of the goal and Rocendo Fornell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopes Avendaño in the 82nd minute of play forced Soca's goalkeeper Xoan Vellosillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Lopes Avendaño made a precise shot to the right of Xoan Vellosillo. Soca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 90th minute, Marz Perez had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 90 minutes, Pellas Meldasgoas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Echevarria and the Soca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Echevarria got a freekick which was hit by Pellas Meldasgoas. Christovao Villayres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Esquipula Betolaza made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopes Avendaño in the 95th minute of play forced Soca's goalkeeper Xoan Vellosillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
