The audience was convinced that Sergio Chacin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barto Fontao was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Patricio Orozco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pero Ibio's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Montevideo AFC's Barto Fontao got control of the ball when Galtero Cuesta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Galtero Cuesta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barto Fontao having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Sergio Chacin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Montevideo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Horado Fano came free, but Barto Fontao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Montevideo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pero Ibio to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Sergio Chacin made a precise shot to the right of Barto Fontao. Montevideo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xurdin Celerain was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Masoller AFC booed when Montevideo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balasi Cal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Montevideo AFC's Barto Fontao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogerio Almenester in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Horado Fano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Barto Fontao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Masoller AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
