Carora's Moncho Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilio Demartis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Alcaíno in the 7th minute of the match. Inocencio Soffia's late challenge caught a Carora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inocencio Soffia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Carora booed when Cherquenco AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Soffia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teofilio Demartis made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Casimiro Gutiérrez sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anacleto Camelo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Ramon Aulestia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Carora getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Efraín Zambón hit a great ball. Carora's Jose Ramon Aulestia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Camelo in the 19th minute of play. Moncho Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Teofilio Demartis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Ramon Aulestia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Camelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Vladimiro Christie took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Ramon Aulestia. Jose Ramon Aulestia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Moncho Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Teofilio Demartis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Gregorio Alcaíno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cherquenco AFC the free kick. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carora's goalkeeper Jose Ramon Aulestia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Carora players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cherquenco AFC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimiro Christie made a kick off. Anacleto Camelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moncho Melo in the 53rd minute of play forced Cherquenco AFC's goalkeeper Teofilio Demartis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Anacleto Camelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anacleto Camelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teofilio Demartis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Gutiérrez in the 61st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anacleto Camelo got free with Jose Ramon Aulestia in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cherquenco AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Christie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Vladimiro Christie sped through Carora's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jose Ramon Aulestia. Teofilio Demartis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moncho Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moncho Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilio Demartis having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Carora's Moncho Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofilio Demartis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 94 minutes into the game, Gregorio Alcaíno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Teofilio Demartis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Cherquenco AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Carora from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
