Andrés Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moncho Lois, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. During the 20th minute of the match Marcos Francisco Arizaga completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marcos Francisco Arizaga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Moncho Lois got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 27th match minute before Andrés Campos had time to react. Moncho Lois did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Andrés Campos 32 minutes into the match. Moncho Lois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Andrés Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrés Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moncho Lois, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Marico's Andrés Campos got control of the ball when Victor Burgos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrés Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moncho Lois in the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Andrés Campos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Burgos's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Choroico AFC defense, Pierre Echaiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Quilempan. The Choroico AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Quilempan should have stopped the shot. Many of Marico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Marico may have spent more time on the ball, but Choroico AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
