The supporters of Panquehue booed when Ilaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Cabedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ilaya's zone, Podador Rumie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Muzard came out of the goal and Podador Rumie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ilaya's Clemente Apel got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Roque Camilo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ilaya's Patricio Muzard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Muzard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Camilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes, Panquehue's Barni Avendaño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patricio Muzard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panquehue reached it. 29 minutes into the match, Ilaya's goal looked a bit too open when Podador Rumie came free, but Patricio Muzard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosme Radic was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Panquehue getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Cosme Radic hit a great ball. Ferrán Elso struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Marcelino Abogabir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilaya. In the 47th minute, Ilaya's Clemente Apel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelino Abogabir. Marcelino Abogabir yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ferrán Elso made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ferrán Elso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilaya fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ilaya had won after a very even match.
