Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rilan's Edgar Mac Iver started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Rilan's Calvino Mansilla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Calvino Mansilla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rilan protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Calvino Mansilla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rilan! Victoriano Ovalle walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Miquel Chopitea came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Gualane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miquel Chopitea couldn't finish the play. If Miquel Chopitea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Gaitán Ipinza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualane's Severo Azúa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florín Mofre in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Miquel Chopitea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualane's supporters rose to their feet, but Miquel Chopitea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xabel Arechavala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Antonio Martínez Lamas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xabel Arechavala. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. Xabel Arechavala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Antonio Martínez Lamas's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Florín Mofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Gualane's Miquel Chopitea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xabel Arechavala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jasone Mata during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rilan getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jasone Mata hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Francisco Antonio Martínez Lamas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florín Mofre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Severo Azúa made a huge save. After 81 played minutes Gualane got a freekick which was hit by Hernán Davis. Francisco Antonio Martínez Lamas took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xabel Arechavala. Xabel Arechavala dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Florín Mofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gualane fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rilan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
