Narciso D´Etigny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calimavia AFC's Narciso D´Etigny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josías Epulef in the 7th minute of play. Narciso D´Etigny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simón Padilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celedonio Aparicio during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 14 minutes into the game, Calimavia AFC's Vinos Lautroup nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florinio Larrarte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a little luck, Suca's Florinio Larrarte got control of the ball when Vinos Lautroup tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinos Lautroup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josías Epulef in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narciso D´Etigny saved Calimavia AFC from getting behind. After having played for 32 minutes, Simón Padilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simón Padilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, Simón Padilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso D´Etigny was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 41st minute, Josías Epulef got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narciso D´Etigny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simón Padilla in the 42nd minute of play. When Celedonio Aparicio came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Calimavia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Aparicio couldn't finish the play. Narciso D´Etigny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simón Padilla in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Jacobo Cardenas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calimavia AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suca the free kick. Jacobo Cardenas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Narciso D´Etigny acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luis Alberto Fariña. Vinos Lautroup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florinio Larrarte having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Suca's goalkeeper Florinio Larrarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Suca's Quentín Ruiz Tagle got a free kick in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Vinos Lautroup cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Florinio Larrarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Narciso D´Etigny was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Simón Padilla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 86 minute of play. If Josías Epulef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Calimavia AFC's José Francisco Porter got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
