The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Cutijmaya FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cipriano Oteiza hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Isaiás Cofquecura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ferrán Jorquera scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teobaldo Margulis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hualqui FC's Teobaldo Margulis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Hualqui FC from getting a goal against them. When Ferrán Jorquera came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Cutijmaya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferrán Jorquera couldn't finish the play. Mario Dibarrart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yeray Videla's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Ferrán Jorquera in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teobaldo Margulis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yeray Videla struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Mario Dibarrart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hualqui FC. 40 minutes in the game, Eustaquio Martinic fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Teobaldo Margulis having to interfere. Teobaldo Margulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Martinic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Isaiás Cofquecura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hualqui FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaiás Cofquecura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Cutijmaya FC's zone, Yeray Videla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Dibarrart came out of the goal and Yeray Videla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Isaiás Cofquecura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Fabio Cuello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cutijmaya FC's zone, Yeray Videla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Dibarrart came out of the goal and Yeray Videla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mario Dibarrart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of Hualqui FC booed when Cutijmaya FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Canto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Oteiza hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Theobald Diaz de Andrade, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Ferrán Jorquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustaquio Martinic in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobaldo Margulis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Isaiás Cofquecura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Bastidas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Delmiro Escobar hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Martinic in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Margulis saved Hualqui FC from getting behind. Eustaquio Martinic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Teobaldo Margulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hualqui FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play.
