Guido Macaya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugenio Solabarrieta went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Raymundo Domimisse was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Paga's Guido Macaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Alegre in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan Manuel Villagra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Omar Camus. That made the score 2-1 in the 31 minute of play. A collision led to Paga getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jeremías Layseca hit a great ball. Guido Macaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Txomin Masoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Fabricio Magasich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Magasich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Solabarrieta got free with Guido Macaya in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omar Camus came out of the goal and Fabricio Magasich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calvino Traverso hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Eugenio Solabarrieta took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guido Macaya. Guido Macaya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Fabricio Magasich came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Paga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Magasich couldn't finish the play. Fabricio Magasich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Omar Camus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Paga failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
