Julio Carreto started the match with the kick off. Octavio Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Ignacio Maillard in the 3rd minute of play. If Rubén Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 minutes, Julio Carreto made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Caya AFC's Víctor Javier Solis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Domenico Oyuela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Leal was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Caya AFC's Domenico Oyuela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Carreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Víctor Javier Solis having to make a save. Víctor Javier Solis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Carreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Octavio Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Oyuela in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenico Oyuela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Domenico Oyuela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Domenico Oyuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, José Ignacio Maillard made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Leal. Cultane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Julio Carreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cultane's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Carreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Ferrer in the 90th minute of play forced Caya AFC's goalkeeper Víctor Javier Solis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
