Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Delfino Necochea took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Lázaro Becerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonio Infante. Lázaro Becerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 6 played minutes Esperanza got a freekick which was hit by Delfino Necochea. Kahraman Maras's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Antonio Infante firmly grabbed it by the left post. Antonio Infante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kahraman Maras's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Antonio Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Becerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Esperanza's goalkeeper Antonio Infante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kahraman Maras. In the 21st minute Lázaro Becerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Infante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Vivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Minassian, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Antonio Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Becerra in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Kahraman Maras made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Infante. Esperanza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. José Francisco Estévez's late challenge caught a Esperanza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Francisco Estévez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cutihuano AFC's José Francisco Estévez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lázaro Becerra made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Esperanza's Odín Ferrari got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Iván Minassian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Cutihuano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rosalio Uribe. The audience was convinced that Lázaro Becerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Infante was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After 67 played minutes Esperanza got a freekick which was hit by Delfino Necochea. Antonio Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Becerra in the 89th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Becerra in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Infante saved Esperanza from getting behind. Kahraman Maras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Antonio Infante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lázaro Becerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Infante was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Kahraman Maras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cutihuano AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Esperanza had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
