Fernando Valenzuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Montero having to interfere. Monserrat FC's Calvino Casos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Monserrat FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Monserrat FC booed when Incienso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Normando Oyanedel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fernando Valenzuela came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Monserrat FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Valenzuela couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucián De Rurange was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Monserrat FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fernando Valenzuela hit a great ball. Aristeo Reina took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Calvino Casos. Monserrat FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elías Amezquita kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Incienso's Luciano Aguayo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Lucián De Rurange blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobaldo Montero having to make a save. Monserrat FC's Calvino Casos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Jesus Saavedra in the 62nd minute of play. When Carlos José Madariaga came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Monserrat FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos José Madariaga couldn't finish the play. Alonso Abad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teobaldo Montero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucián De Rurange, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Mario Jesus Saavedra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvino Casos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucián De Rurange in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobaldo Montero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Luciano Aguayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos José Madariaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mario Jesus Saavedra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 95th minute of the match Alonso Abad completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alonso Abad a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Alonso Abad kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
