Faustino Arévalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Faustino Arévalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolomé Kroon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimír Ipinza in the 25th minute of play. A hard shot 29 in the game by Nafarroa Contreras from a close distance when the talented Valentino Mallet managed to make a qualified save. Chorillos's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Simaverti in the 31st minute of play forced Chorillos's goalkeeper Valentino Mallet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tancredo Aspillaga's late challenge caught a Chorillos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tancredo Aspillaga helped the player get up and apologised. Tancredo Aspillaga hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jesus Guemes charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesus Guemes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 42 minutes into the match, Japucucho AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Casimír Ipinza came free, but Bartolomé Kroon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emanuel Simaverti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Guemes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolomé Kroon having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Casimír Ipinza made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nafarroa Contreras in the 53rd minute of play forced Chorillos's goalkeeper Valentino Mallet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentino Mallet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edilberto Cumplido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Chorillos's Faustino Arévalo in 78 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bartolomé Kroon guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Tancredo Aspillaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentino Mallet having to interfere. Jacinto Pazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentino Mallet having to interfere. Casimír Ipinza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Bartolomé Kroon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chorillos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
