Cabreria's Moncho Ferrari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Salvatierra in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Costa ☆ Pacífico defense, Constancio Argandoña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfred Tinglöv. The Costa ☆ Pacífico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfred Tinglöv should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damario Contador to make the kick off. A collision led to Cabreria getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Omar Rinaga hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Edgardo Monreal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cabreria's Remicio La Motte got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Costa ☆ Pacífico lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
