Bairon Olave showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Ensslin in the 8th minute of the match. Justino Lawrence hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valiente Carvajal got free with Manu Enríquez in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Vidma in the 14th minute of play forced Nahuentue FC's goalkeeper Manu Enríquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Japu's goal looked a bit too open when Tamariz Troncoso came free, but Bairon Olave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nahuentue FC's Filiberto Ensslin in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Valiente Carvajals short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Manu Enríquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adriel Garay kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Manu Enríquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valiente Carvajal in the 28th minute. Japu's Bairon Olave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Ensslin in the 33rd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Eriberto Lecuna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Japu and the Nahuentue FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Eriberto Lecuna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tamariz Troncoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bairon Olave having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valiente Carvajal got free with Manu Enríquez in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Vidma recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manu Enríquez. Carlos Alberto Vidma showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Vidma to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Japu were awarded a corner. Josías Aguila went to the cornerflag to take it. Bairon Olave made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tamariz Troncoso in the 55th minute. Japu's Bairon Olave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Ensslin in the 61st minute of play. Valiente Carvajal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manu Enríquez having to make a save. Tamariz Troncoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tamariz Troncoso got free with Bairon Olave in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th match minute, Japu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amato Arancibia to maneuver through the defense. Valiente Carvajal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manu Enríquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Manu Enríquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valiente Carvajal, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Odón Malsch during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nahuentue FC booed when Japu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odón Malsch didn't get a good kick on the ball.
