The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilberto Sadin came out of the goal and Filiberto Ensslin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermenegildo Peluchonneau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manu Enríquez having to interfere. Adriel Garay's late challenge caught a Chichiguan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriel Garay helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Nahuentue FC's Adriel Garay got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Chichiguan booed when Nahuentue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Lamas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Nahuentue FC's protests and gave Tamariz Troncoso a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Nahuentue FC got a freekick which was hit by Tamariz Troncoso. Chichiguan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Filiberto Ensslin 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. After having played for 78 minutes, Tamariz Troncoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nahuentue FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tamariz Troncoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Sadin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Ensslin in the 80th minute of play. Nahuentue FC's Tamariz Troncoso got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chichiguan's Hermenegildo Peluchonneau got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Chichiguan's Gilberto Sadin got control of the ball when Tamariz Troncoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chichiguan's Gilberto Sadin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Ensslin in the 92nd minute of play. Alcides Andraca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nahuentue FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
