Francisco Ignacio Sire made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Juan Manuel Arcangel sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Zapiga FC's zone, Reyes Colipi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efraín Amor came out of the goal and Reyes Colipi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pangales's zone, Isidoro Arbildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zapiga FC's Efraín Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adán Mac Donald in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Adán Mac Donald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pangales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Efraín Amor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Espina's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Francisco Ignacio Sire came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Zapiga FC's Isidoro Arbildo. But to his dismay, Isidoro Arbildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 37 minutes into the game, Viviano Echavarría was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pangales's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zapiga FC the free kick. After 37 played minutes Pangales got a freekick which was hit by Viviano Echavarría. 42 minutes into the match, Pangales's goal looked a bit too open when Quintán Mac Donald came free, but Francisco Ignacio Sire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Espina made a kick off. Francisco Ignacio Sire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintán Mac Donald in the 52nd minute of the match. Ignacio Espina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efraín Amor having to interfere. If Isidoro Arbildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Manuel Arcangel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Zapiga FC booed when Pangales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reyes Colipi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignacio Espina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Arbildo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Ignacio Sire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reyes Colipi during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Pangales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reyes Colipi to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes, Zapiga FC's Omar Pasenau shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisco Ignacio Sire came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zapiga FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adán Mac Donald got free with Efraín Amor in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st match minute, Pangales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Pequeño to maneuver through the defense. Quintán Mac Donald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Ignacio Sire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Francisco Ignacio Sire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Arbildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ignacio Espina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Efraín Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when José Alberto White put in a rough tackle. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pangales! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
