In the 3rd minute, Efraín Quesada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th match minute, Chillehue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niguel Bonilla to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th match minute, Chillehue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Maria Moron to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Caleu FC got a freekick which was hit by Ofelio Montalva. In the 11th minute, Enrique Oña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Urtsín Goncalves came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Chillehue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urtsín Goncalves couldn't finish the play. Gerard Gallardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urtsín Goncalves in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Caleu FC's Alonzo Palacios got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Caleu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Urtsín Goncalves came free, but Gerard Gallardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leovigildo Undona struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Honorio Leyton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caleu FC. Efraín Quesada hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Gerard Gallardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Hugo Larraguibel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Chillehue's Gerard Gallardo threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Urtsín Goncalves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Urtsín Goncalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Chillehue's Enrique Oña got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Oña in the 53rd minute of play forced Caleu FC's goalkeeper Gerard Gallardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerard Gallardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hugo Larraguibel in the 60th minute of the match. Leovigildo Undona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerard Gallardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Oña, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 83rd match minute, Caleu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Palacios to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Oña in the 84th minute of play forced Caleu FC's goalkeeper Gerard Gallardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerard Gallardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Oña in the 89th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leovigildo Undona got free with Honorio Leyton in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
