After 2 minutes, Raúl Larenas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queule and the Cobresal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Queule was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Larenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Gervasio Carvallo from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Quique Duncker's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Álvaro Meza fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Queule's protests and gave Álvaro Meza a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Queule's Álvaro Meza got a free kick in the 6th minute. Loreno Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Quique Duncker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cobresal. Luiz Paulo Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Quique Duncker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Manuel Jaramillo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Cobresal's Luiz Paulo Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Queule's Quique Duncker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Queule from getting a goal against them. Álvaro Meza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Justino Gabella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Queule's Maximino Rio got a free kick in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on Cobresal's corner Miliano Tuñon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Quique Duncker quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Quique Duncker managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Cobresal's Luiz Paulo Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Queule was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Larenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Miliano Tuñon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cobresal's goalkeeper Justino Gabella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Manuel Jaramillo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Álvaro Meza made a kick off. Luiz Paulo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quique Duncker having to interfere. When Topocho Donaire came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Cobresal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Topocho Donaire couldn't finish the play. Quique Duncker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Topocho Donaire's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. If Luiz Paulo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72ndth minute of the game Topocho Donaire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Queule's Quique Duncker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Topocho Donaire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quique Duncker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Quique Duncker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Machado in the 82nd minute of play. Luiz Paulo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cobresal's Justino Gabella got control of the ball when Xaime Polo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute, Loreno Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quique Duncker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Machado in the 90th minute of play. If Luiz Paulo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Paulo Machado in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Quique Duncker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maximino Rio charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Rio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Maximino Rio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Topocho Donaire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
