After a defensive mix-up in Melirupo FC's zone, Hilario Klickmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fermín Ayala came out of the goal and Hilario Klickmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Klickmann in the 37th minute of play forced Melirupo FC's goalkeeper Fermín Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mercurio Abufhele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Hilario Klickmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mercurio Abufhele to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Mac Kenney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mercurio Abufhele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Hilario Klickmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ocoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Klickmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fermín Ayala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Melirupo FC had played much better football throughout.
