Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Quilipulli AFC's Xalvador Paniagua started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Xalvador Paniagua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Palomino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Fermín Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocente Triviño in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Xalvador Paniagua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilipulli AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xalvador Paniagua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Santana got free with Sebastián Palomino in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute, Quilipulli AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eliseo Santana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fermín Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocente Triviño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Quilipulli AFC booed when Melirupo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Oliva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menéndez Aldunate took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fermín Ayala. Melirupo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Melirupo FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Wilfredo Daniel hit a great ball. When Quilipulli AFC's Xalvador Paniagua in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melirupo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Henrico Sola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Melirupo FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pinone Dawson hit a great ball. Inocente Triviño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quilipulli AFC's attack was well implemented in the 35th minute, but when Xalvador Paniagua was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 40 minutes into the match, Melirupo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xalvador Paniagua came free, but Fermín Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mercurio Abufhele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Palomino having to interfere. Sebastián Palomino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mercurio Abufhele in the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 61st minute Xalvador Paniagua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermín Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Melirupo FC's zone, Xalvador Paniagua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fermín Ayala came out of the goal and Xalvador Paniagua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Daniel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melirupo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilipulli AFC the free kick. Wilfredo Daniel hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Mercurio Abufhele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocente Triviño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th match minute, Quilipulli AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefano Camilo to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes Melirupo FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurín Dávila. Fermín Ayala was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Menéndez Aldunate. After a defensive mix-up in Quilipulli AFC's zone, Eliseo Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastián Palomino came out of the goal and Eliseo Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Melirupo FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Wilfredo Daniel hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Xalvador Paniagua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eliseo Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastián Palomino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mercurio Abufhele in the 96th minute of the match. If Mercurio Abufhele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Quilipulli AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quilipulli AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
