In the 10th minute, Alvino Cetina made a precise shot to the right of Nicodemo Ferrer. Badinho Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Orlando Villalón didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualberto Mundaca went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mohamed Jaque was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. In the 28th match minute, Atletico Katamon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Abaroa to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Villalón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Escandón in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th play minute Candido Escandón came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Orlando Villalón. 3-1. After 38 played minutes Atletico Katamon got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Torrijos. 40 minutes into the match, Badinho Juniors's Gualberto Mundaca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Orlando Villalón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Badinho Juniors booed when Atletico Katamon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Regino Galdames didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Salomone Ipinza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Nicodemo Ferrer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Orlando Villalón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Escandón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Abaroa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Salomone Ipinza didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-2 via right post in the game's 96th minute. Atletico Katamon's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! There was no doubt that Badinho Juniors were the better team. Badinho Juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
