The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuel Barril received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Pere Acosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pere Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Barril in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Cortadera getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ernesto Higuera hit a great ball. Samuel Barril blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pere Acosta having to make a save. Samuel Barril received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Pere Acosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Samuel Barril came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Huellelhue AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Barril couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Huellelhue AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Picarte came free, but Luis María Talavera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cortadera's Pere Acosta got control of the ball when Toni Cabrito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Hernánde Le Fort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Toni Cabrito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pere Acosta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Barril in the 35th minute of the match. Toni Cabrito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Gustavo Marshall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pere Acosta having to interfere. The supporters of Huellelhue AFC booed when Cortadera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnau Saldías didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Toni Cabrito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cortadera's goalkeeper Pere Acosta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute of the match, Delfino Montes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pere Acosta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cortadera's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Evaristo Ipinza was slow to take the kick. During this time Huellelhue AFC's players had a chance to rest. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Picarte was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Huellelhue AFC's Luis María Talavera got control of the ball when Miguel Hernánde Le Fort tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Toni Cabrito put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pere Acosta. Jose Manuel Suloaga kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Huellelhue AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cortadera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
