After 4 played minutes Lagos got a freekick which was hit by Teodovico Ferraris. Gilesindo Varletta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lois Urrejola having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Arachildu's zone, Gilesindo Varletta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lois Urrejola came out of the goal and Gilesindo Varletta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 minutes, Blanco Pimienta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arachildu and the Lagos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arachildu's Lois Urrejola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Monje in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilesindo Varletta in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lois Urrejola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lois Urrejola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nacho Monje in the 32nd minute of play. Cecilio Turrieta in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Belmiro Esquivel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lois Urrejola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Monje in the 36th minute of the match. Lagos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
