The Humberstone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demesio Covarrubias should have stopped the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Humberstone's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Torreblanca came free, but Demesio Covarrubias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edgar Torreblanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baldomero Pfingsthorn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Demesio Covarrubias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Ronaldo Dareport in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ever Trejo scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicens Caldera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Demesio Parra charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demesio Parra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Iris AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. In the 85th minute, Baldomero Pfingsthorn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baldomiro Madaune was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 86th minute, Baldomiro Madaune hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Humberstone fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Iris AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
