If Zenaido Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karlos Paternost was a little too slow when Demesio Urquiza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Zenaido Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Karlos Paternost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zenaido Carrillo got free with Karlos Paternost in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarapaca FC's goalkeeper Karlos Paternost, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tarapaca FC's Karlos Paternost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demesio Urquiza in the 22nd minute of play. Karlos Paternost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zenaido Carrillo went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Zenaido Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Zenaido Carrillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karlos Paternost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Punaco! Maurín Galiano shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Unai Vidma might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Menéndez Spöerer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Unai Vidma ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zenaido Carrillo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Federico Contardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unai Vidma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Menéndez Spöerer made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Zenaido Carrillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julián Aylwin hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With his leg Menéndez Spöerer managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Tarapaca FC's Unai Vidma fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Bernardino Sobarzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Sobarzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Menéndez Spöerer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Sobarzo ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Punaco's David Cumplido got a free kick in the 86th minute. Tarapaca FC's Maurín Galiano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Punaco. Unai Vidma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Menéndez Spöerer came out and tried to block the shot, but Unai Vidma slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 92nd minute.
