In the 8th minute, Agustín Cádiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sansón Portolés in the 12th minute of play forced Corcota's goalkeeper Nazario Oruna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfredo Lizardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sansón Portolés blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nazario Oruna having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Maquegua FC's goalkeeper Esteban Falabella had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Escandón. When Natanael Bacheler came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Corcota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natanael Bacheler couldn't finish the play. Nazario Oruna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sansón Portolés in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Maquegua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremías Langlois came free, but Esteban Falabella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Bacheler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
