Eduardo Quilapan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Plácido Medina in the 7th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Odín Urzúa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Quilapan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Quilapan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Plácido Medina in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Rungue's goal looked a bit too open when Plácido Medina came free, but Eduardo Quilapan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rungue's Arnau Dinamarca got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odín Urzúa in the 23rd minute of play forced Rungue's goalkeeper Eduardo Quilapan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esequiel Vino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Yoel Aburto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Zapallar AFC's Odín Urzúa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Quilapan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Odín Urzúa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Telmo Peso fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zapallar AFC's protests and gave Telmo Peso a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Zapallar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Peso. In the 40th minute, Poulus Godínez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Zapallar AFC's Yoel Aburto didn't even have to move. In the 47th minute Esequiel Vino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Aburto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Próspero Gana in the 68th minute of play forced Zapallar AFC's goalkeeper Yoel Aburto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Arnau Dinamarca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Zapallar AFC's Plácido Medina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Quilapan. That made the score 1-2 after 70 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esequiel Vino in the 78th minute of play forced Zapallar AFC's goalkeeper Yoel Aburto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Rungue's goalkeeper Eduardo Quilapan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Odín Urzúa. Esequiel Vino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yoel Aburto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Arnau Dinamarca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Plácido Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Quilapan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zapallar AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
