Toni Dumont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Venegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Gonzalo Maeztu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maria's Gonzalo Maeztu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Venegas in the 9th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, Maria's Edelmiro Tellerias made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toni Dumont was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pere Jordi Delano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Dumont having to interfere. When Pere Jordi Delano came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pere Jordi Delano couldn't finish the play. In the 24thth minute of the game Edelmiro Tellerias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pullay's Toni Dumont was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Pullay booed when Maria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pere Jordi Delano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Severo Inzunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edelmiro Tellerias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Dumont having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pere Jordi Delano in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toni Dumont saved Pullay from getting behind. Edelmiro Tellerias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maria's Gonzalo Maeztu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Venegas in the 43rd minute of play. The Pullay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maria were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Edelmiro Tellerias made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Pullay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Rosseman to maneuver through the defense. Pere Jordi Delano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pullay's Ismael Rosseman got a free kick in the 55th minute. Nemesio Barasarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pere Jordi Delano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toni Dumont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Tellerias in the 67th minute of play. When Pere Jordi Delano came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pere Jordi Delano couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Pullay's Matias Faille got a free kick in the 76th minute. Toni Dumont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Tellerias in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Edelmiro Tellerias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toni Dumont was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Toni Dumont made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Pere Jordi Delano sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nemesio Barasarte during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Maria booed when Pullay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Barasarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pere Jordi Delano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Dumont showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Tellerias in the 93rd minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Pere Jordi Delano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pere Jordi Delano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Maria could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pullay throughout the match.
