After 4 played minutes Valentín Peñaranda rounded Tinajas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Viviano Ackermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Miguel Chandia having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Tinajas's goalkeeper Juan Miguel Chandia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viviano Ackermann. Viviano Ackermann kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Juanjo Zercalde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rungue's Pierre Urbano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 played minutes Rungue got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Portes. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tinajas's goalkeeper Juan Miguel Chandia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tinajas's Juan Miguel Chandia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Tinajas from getting a goal against them. Gaston Narváez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juanjo Zercalde in the 43rd minute of play forced Rungue's goalkeeper Pierre Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rungue booed when Tinajas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Oyarzabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Viviano Ackermann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Juan Miguel Chandia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentín Peñaranda in the 48th minute of play forced Tinajas's goalkeeper Juan Miguel Chandia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tinajas! Juanjo Zercalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viviano Ackermann couldn't finish the play.
