After a defensive mix-up in Huequecura's zone, Maxín Bastías stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Carmona came out of the goal and Maxín Bastías tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Maxín Bastías got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Jonatán Mascayano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Carmona was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 23 De Noviembre's Maxín Bastías got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonatán Mascayano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogelio Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatán Mascayano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmelo Frontaura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Magdaleno Zelada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureo Swinburn having to interfere. Albin Quintupran's late challenge caught a Huequecura's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Quintupran helped the player get up and apologised. Albin Quintupran hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Maxín Bastías came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the 23 De Noviembre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxín Bastías couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Frontaura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureo Swinburn having to interfere. After 44 played minutes 23 De Noviembre got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Abascal. Aureo Swinburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magdaleno Zelada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magdaleno Zelada made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Huequecura got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Charlin. Rogelio Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxín Bastías in the 54th minute of play. Carmelo Frontaura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Huequecura getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Fortunato Nieto hit a great ball. Rogelio Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxín Bastías in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Huequecura's goalkeeper Rogelio Carmona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karlos Squella hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Maxín Bastías sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonatán Mascayano took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogelio Carmona. Rogelio Carmona dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 68thth minute of the game Carmelo Frontaura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 23 De Noviembre's Aureo Swinburn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rogelio Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxín Bastías in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Magdaleno Zelada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magdaleno Zelada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 78 minutes, Jonatán Mascayano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 23 De Noviembre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatán Mascayano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ambrosio Daiber took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogelio Carmona. Huequecura's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rogelio Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxín Bastías, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureo Swinburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Frontaura in the 89th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Huequecura fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Rogelio Carmona didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatán Mascayano went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. 23 De Noviembre walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
