The audience was convinced that Axel Paternost's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Garriga was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Skuntfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andoni Poveda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute Andoni Poveda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Garriga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Paternost was the one to do the kick off. Rigoberto Garriga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Poveda in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Carmelo Arellano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colo-Colo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skuntfield FC the free kick. Colo-Colo's Rigoberto Garriga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Paternost in the 60th minute of play. During the 60th minute of the match Carmelo Arellano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carmelo Arellano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Carmelo Arellano kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Colo-Colo's Rigoberto Garriga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andoni Poveda in the 63rd minute of play. Juan Alberto Briones charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Paternost in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Garriga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Skuntfield FC fully deserved thier win.
