Rigoberto Garriga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bermejo Piñera in the 4th minute of the match. Enzo Bertrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Rigoberto Garriga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Colo-Colo getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mario Alberto Bermejo hit a great ball. Basilio Huerta, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 15th minute, Pinone Santander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mónico Warner didn't quite understand what happened when in the 16 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 21st minute, Serafín Aramburu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Rafael Maggiora was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pancoras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colo-Colo the free kick. The supporters of Colo-Colo booed when Pancoras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Maggiora didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pancoras getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Basilio Huerta hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Inostroza during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Pancoras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Inostroza to maneuver through the defense. Serafín Aramburu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Manuel Nisen having to interfere. In the 34th minute Serafín Aramburu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Manuel Nisen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diego Lucero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Diego Lucero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colo-Colo's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Lucero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Manuel Nisen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Diego Lucero made the kick off in the second half. When Diego Lucero came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Colo-Colo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Lucero couldn't finish the play. The Pancoras fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Pancoras's Bermejo Piñera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rigoberto Garriga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Maggiora, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Serafín Aramburu in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juan Manuel Nisen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Enzo Bertrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pancoras fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colo-Colo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
