Club Deportes La Serena's Anselmo Granada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Olate in the 30th minute of play. When Ariel Orbegoso came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Matanza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Orbegoso couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute Isidoro Olate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Granada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Granada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Nisen in the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Deportes La Serena booed when Matanza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position.
