But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Tellerias couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Carahuo FC's Jaume Perl got a free kick in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Tellerias in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Manns saved Carahuo FC from getting behind. Jaume Perl hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Teofilo Duguid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coinco's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Duguid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Manns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Duguid in the 9th minute of play forced Carahuo FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Manns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Duguid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teofilo Duguid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Manns having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coinco's goalkeeper Victorino Potts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Carahuo FC got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Puelles. 23 minutes into the match, Coinco's Matias Tellerias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinicio Manns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 minutes Carahuo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bonifacio Otero who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Henrico Finlay heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Tellerias in the 29th minute of play forced Carahuo FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Manns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laureano Arratia's late challenge caught a Coinco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laureano Arratia helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Carahuo FC got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Arratia. After recieving a nice pass, Coinco's Bonifacio Otero tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Carahuo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laureano Arratia to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Bonifacio Otero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinicio Manns showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vinicio Manns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Tellerias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Coinco's David Espinoza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinicio Manns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Carahuo FC's zone, David Espinoza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Manns came out of the goal and David Espinoza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Duguid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Teofilo Duguid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Duguid struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Vinicio Manns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coinco. Matias Tellerias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Manns having to interfere. Vinicio Manns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Tellerias in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Haeussler during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Matias Tellerias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carahuo FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Manns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Coinco's Teofilo Duguid got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Tellerias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Coinco booed when Carahuo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Aristizaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carahuo FC's Vinicio Manns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Duguid in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carahuo FC's Eber Bugueño got a free kick in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Coinco's Bonifacio Otero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jaume Perl hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Coinco's Teofilo Duguid dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Coinco played a much better game than Carahuo FC and deserved their victory. The Carahuo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
