The referee ignored Traiguen FC's protests and gave Gustavo Ayarza a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Pierre Garmendia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Estevan Thayer was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre Garmendia was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Green Cross F.C booed when Traiguen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Serna didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pierre Garmendia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loreno Benavides in the 56th minute of play forced Green Cross F.C's goalkeeper Candido Fehrman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes, Green Cross F.C's Podador Fagalde shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Estevan Thayer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Green Cross F.C reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Traiguen FC's zone, Pierre Garmendia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estevan Thayer came out of the goal and Pierre Garmendia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Podador Fagalde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Garmendia in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Estevan Thayer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo Ferraro struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Estevan Thayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Green Cross F.C. Candido Fehrman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Ayarza in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Aureo Bardesi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Traiguen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Cross F.C the free kick. In the 85th match minute, Traiguen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureo Bardesi to maneuver through the defense.
