Club deportivo titon's Tomé Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 22 minutes of play, Llaima's Romano Garachena made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heliodoro Santana-Bauzá was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romano Garachena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heliodoro Santana-Bauzá having to interfere. Reces Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Bittencourt in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Demetrio Jarpa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heliodoro Santana-Bauzá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romano Garachena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heliodoro Santana-Bauzá having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomé Bittencourt to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Liberto Moroni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elías Parodi hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Club deportivo titon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Llaima:s goal. Peter Osterkamp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reces Loyola having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Llaima's zone, Tomé Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reces Loyola came out of the goal and Tomé Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Bittencourt in the 73rd minute of play forced Llaima's goalkeeper Reces Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Llaima's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Bittencourt came free, but Reces Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé Bittencourt in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reces Loyola saved Llaima from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Tomé Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club deportivo titon's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reces Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heliodoro Santana-Bauzá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Jarpa in the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Club deportivo titon booed when Llaima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Rencoret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reces Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liberto Moroni in the 86th minute of play. Demetrio Jarpa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heliodoro Santana-Bauzá having to interfere. Romano Garachena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Club deportivo titon manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Llaima to win.
