In a very dangerous position, a player in Humagata FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Ariel Manríquez came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Hualane's Pío Cádiz. But to his dismay, Pío Cádiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Eduardo Pazols during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Humagata FC booed when Hualane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Eduardo Pazols didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Xavi Fuenzalida managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Humagata FC's Jose Santelices fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute Cristofer Aguad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Manríquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Santelices was the one to do the kick off. The Hualane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xavi Fuenzalida should have stopped the shot. Humagata FC's Jose Santelices got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Victoro Poyancos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Xavi Fuenzalida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldo Seco got free with Ariel Manríquez in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quintén Bettini might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xavi Fuenzalida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quintén Bettini ran back to his position shaking his head. Xavi Fuenzalida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Santelices in the 95th minute of play.
