Manuel Antonio Villagrán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selmo Sáez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Achondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Genaro Antúnez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Antúnez made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Abelardo Achondo sent off a good shot on target. Juan Cristóbal Marholz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Antúnez having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Hospital's goal looked a bit too open when Selmo Sáez came free, but Manuel Antonio Villagrán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Achondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Genaro Antúnez made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Guatanave's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Cristóbal Marholz came free, but Genaro Antúnez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guatanave reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Selmo Sáez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramon María Gebler kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Delfino Granados who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Manuel Antonio Villagrán when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Genaro Antúnez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Cristóbal Marholz in the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Abelardo Achondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hospital's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Achondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Delfino Granados managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hospital were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
