Ernesto Daniel Hoefler in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eusebio Messia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Albano Jofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Mellibosky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Loyola in the 21st minute of the match. Ernesto Daniel Hoefler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Eusebio Messia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Mellibosky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcomillo Morandé, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Paulino Mellibosky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narcomillo Morandé to make the kick off. If Albano Jofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huachipato's Paulino Mellibosky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcomillo Morandé in the 73rd minute of play. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paulino Mellibosky. Tiquina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
