After 5 played minutes Llolleo FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Levenier. José Alejandro Cañas made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Tauro Turres sent off a good shot on target. Llolleo FC's Jaime Adasme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batista Urquiza in the 15th minute of play. Albano Aros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Adasme having to interfere. When Tauro Turres came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Llolleo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tauro Turres couldn't finish the play. Cecilio Pairoa struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. José Alejandro Cañas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Llolleo FC. 27 minutes in the game, Cecilio Pairoa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without José Alejandro Cañas having to interfere. Montemar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Tauro Turres scored to the left of an out of position José Alejandro Cañas, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batista Urquiza in the 42nd minute of play forced Llolleo FC's goalkeeper Jaime Adasme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Albano Aros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montemar's supporters rose to their feet, but Albano Aros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Adasme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Montemar's Albano Aros got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Adasme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batista Urquiza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Pairoa made a kick off. José Alejandro Cañas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tauro Turres, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. José Alejandro Cañas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Vilches was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Llolleo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montemar the free kick. Montemar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
