Felipe Manhood's late challenge caught a Lingue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Manhood helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lingue booed when Abtao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Manhood didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Lingue got a freekick which was hit by Eleazar Losada. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdón Almarza during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Abtao FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Abdón Almarza hit a great ball. Héctor David Barria took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celino Porter. Abtao FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Lingue's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Aiach came free, but Guido Bórquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleazar Losada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Celino Porter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Aiach succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Aiach in the 44th minute of play forced Lingue's goalkeeper Guido Bórquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Aiach was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Baudelio Castillo Velasco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celino Porter. That made the score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. Baudelio Castillo Velasco struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Celino Porter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lingue. Rogerio Cuello kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Felipe Manhood was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 59 played minutes Abtao FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Manhood. Celino Porter made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Baudelio Castillo Velasco sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Baudelio Castillo Velasco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Celino Porter, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Lingue's zone, Rogerio Cuello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Bórquez came out of the goal and Rogerio Cuello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baudelio Castillo Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Abtao FC's Abdón Almarza got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Abtao FC's zone, Baudelio Castillo Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celino Porter came out of the goal and Baudelio Castillo Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogerio Cuello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Bórquez having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Fernán Christie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Bórquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogerio Cuello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abtao FC's goalkeeper Celino Porter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abtao FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Héctor David Barria was slow to take the kick. During this time Lingue's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Lingue's corner Héctor David Barria fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Celino Porter quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernán Christie during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lingue getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Fernán Christie hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
