Lucián Oyarzabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Felip having to interfere. Lucián Oyarzabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl Claro took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brian Davis. Brian Davis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Damario Beauchef managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metrenco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damario Beauchef was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ervigio Sobarzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Damario Beauchef kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremías Serna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Metrenco booed when Maiteines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Adan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Metrenco getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Estebano Ugas hit a great ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maiteines's goalkeeper Brian Davis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lucián Oyarzabal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Felip having to make a save. The supporters of Maiteines booed when Metrenco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estebano Ugas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucián Oyarzabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Salvador Felip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Ervigio Sobarzo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Salvador Felip was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeremías Serna's late challenge caught a Maiteines's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremías Serna helped the player get up and apologised. Jeremías Serna kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Salvador Felip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervigio Sobarzo in the 88th minute of play. Salvador Felip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervigio Sobarzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lucián Oyarzabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Lucián Oyarzabal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maiteines's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucián Oyarzabal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Felip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maiteines were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Metrenco to leave the ground with a draw.
