After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Victor Hugo Cangas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laureles's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Hugo Cangas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Avilés breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicasio Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roy Matas. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. If Vincente Poza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincente Poza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Avilés having to interfere. Cosme Avilés showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincente Poza in the 26th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Victor Hugo Cangas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Avilés was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Pierre Solar's late challenge caught a Laureles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Solar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Colimavia FC's Pierre Solar got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Cosme Palmer charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosme Palmer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Laureles a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jesus Tiñoli, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colimavia FC's Cosme Avilés. 1-3. When Asier Mannhardt fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laureles's protests and gave Asier Mannhardt a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Laureles got a freekick which was hit by Asier Mannhardt.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Hugo Cangas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Colimavia FC's zone, Vincente Poza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Avilés came out of the goal and Vincente Poza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Victor Hugo Cangas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laureles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Hugo Cangas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Colimavia FC's zone, Victor Hugo Cangas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Avilés came out of the goal and Victor Hugo Cangas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colimavia FC's Benito Burgoa got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roy Matas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes Laureles's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Mac Gill who took care of the corner kick. Cosme Avilés showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Hugo Cangas, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Vincente Poza made a precise shot to the right of Cosme Avilés. Colimavia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After 87 minutes of play Colimavia FC's Cosme Palmer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th minute, Cosme Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Eber Ayala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laureles's supporters rose to their feet, but Eber Ayala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Avilés breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eber Ayala could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cosme Avilés made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Aurelio Polhemus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vincente Poza struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Cosme Avilés didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laureles. In the 96th minute, Victor Hugo Cangas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
